How to stop losing at grid tactics games
Tactics games punish sloppy movement, and I lost a lot before it clicked. The single biggest change was thinking one turn ahead about where the enemy can reach, not just where I want to attack.
Terrain is not decoration. In Tideborn Tactics, high ground and cover swing damage numbers hard. I started ending every turn asking whether my squishy units were exposed, and my win rate jumped almost immediately.
Don't rush the objective. Most missions reward patience, letting enemies come to you into a bad position rather than charging in. It feels slow, but it's how you keep your whole party alive to the end.
Finally, use the preview info. These games show you exactly what a move does before you commit. If you're guessing, you're playing on hard mode for no reason.
